Lori graduated from Parker High School in 1977. She enlisted in the U.S. Airforece shortly after and spent 4 years in the Air Traffic Control Field, most of her term in Germany. She was honorably discharged as an E-5 Staff Sgt in 1982.
Lori obtained her real estate license in New York in 1982 and after selling homes for 3 years, moved to Santa Cruz, California. She was a real estate broker there 8 years, selling homes and involved in land development.
In 1992 Lori took 2 ½ years and served as a missionary in Europe and Eastern Europe. She worked with refugees in Germany, was on staff at the Federal Prison System, and delivered relief supplies once a month to the Front Line Towns during the Bosnian War.
Lori returned to her hometown of Janesville in 1995 and began selling real estate again. She is married to Doug and has 2 stepchildren. They stay actively involved in ministry at their church and the Rock County Jail.
